Ticket Information
Robot Day Coventry is a free event for all to attend and enjoy. We rely on the generosity of our partners and visitors to host our events, and would very much appreciate your donation upon booking tickets. Enter £0 for free tickets. All donations will go towards supporting Robot Day activities for Coventry and the surrounding areas.
Booking is strongly recommended for all visitors to avoid disappointment. We reserve the right to refuse entry if you arrive outside the time slot stated on your ticket. Drop in visitors may be admitted subject to capacity limits, but we are unable to guarantee entry without a ticket.
When booking tickets in a group, please add 1 ticket for each person attending.
If you plan to book a place on a lecture, then please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the lecture.
Please Note:
- The start time of your booked slot is your entry time. Please do not book more than one slot for your visit.
- All persons under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
- If possible, please do not bring pushchairs into the event.
- The event will close promptly at 16:00.

General Event Information
World-leading innovators and garden-shed makers are gearing up to entertain and educate visitors with inspiring displays and innovative fun and games. This free event will feature hands-on exhibits, workshops and talks from across the robotics industry, with local and international partners gathering for Robot Day’s first flagship exhibition since 2019.

Special Lectures
We have a variety of wonderful STEAM and Robotics-based lectures coming to Robot Day! You must book General Admission tickets in addition to any Lecture Admission tickets. It is your responsibility to ensure your booked entry slot allows you to arrive at least 15 minutes before the lecture start time.
The following four lectures are available to attend:
- Are Self-Driving Vehicles Really the Future? @ 11:30 - Dr. James E. Pickering (please book "Lecture Admission 11:30" to attend). About this lecture: This talk will delve into the challenges related to the safety, efficiency, and ethics of self-driving vehicles.
- Do You Dream of Being a Car Designer?The Creative Process Behind the Design of Cars @ 12:15 - Dr. Aysar Ghassan (please book "Lecture Admission 12:15" to attend). About this lecture: This talk provides a brief historical overview of automotive design before introducing the work of the different specialists that contribute to the design of a car.
- Robotic Explorers in Space @ 13:00 - Mike Frost (please book "Lecture Admission 13:00" to attend). About this lecture: Robots are exploring the solar system right now. Let's see some of the amazing places they are getting to.
- History of Robots @ 13:45 - Marcelle Batson-Warner (please book "Lecture Admission 13:45" to attend). About this lecture: From the first written mention of Robots to the present day, Marcelle will track the ideas and developments of robots and the computers that control them.
- Soft Robotics @ 14:30 - Professor Helge Wurdemann (please book "Lecture Admission 14:30" to attend). About this lecture: This talk will present a number of soft material robots with applications in healthcare, industrial settings and autonomous driving.
- Building a Robot to Rescue a Spanner @ 15:15 - Keegan Neave (please book "Lecture Admission 15:15" to attend). About this lecture: This talk will present a fun project that got out of hand and the many lessons learned while building a robot to rescue a spanner.
